The AGM and prizegiving will take place on 27th February 2012 at the East Hastings Sea Angling Association clubhouse in Hastings old town. This is near to the lifeboat station and Jerwood gallery.

Parking is limited due to the Jerwood gallery.

This is an opportunity for members of the association to raise any points that they may have as well as being kept informed of what has happened in the past year and future plans.

Wishing Tree re-open

Wishing Tree Reservoir - NOW OPEN

This water is now re open to fishing.

Buckshole Reservoir

Please note that an instance has occured with sewage overflowing into the two ponds above Buckshole reservoir which has resulted in fish deaths in the top ponds.

The Association have been contacted by Southern Water who are happy for fishing to continue at the reservoir and they have seen no signs to suggest that the fish in Buckshole have been affected by this.

The Association would ask all members to remain extra cautious with regard to hygiene after touching the water.

As a precaution Southern Water have introduced some pumps into the reservoir to keep the oxygen levels stable.

Alan Carter (1948 - 2010)

I am very sad to inform the members of the Association that Alan Carter the association secretary and my father passed away on December 20th 2010 following a long battle against Cancer.

My father was extremely passionate about his fishing and did a fantastic job as the association secretary.

He will be deeply missed by us all.

The funeral will be held at Eastbourne crematorium on 12th January at 12.15 followed by a gathering at The Cooden Beach Hotel and my sister and I would be happy to see anybody who wishes to pay their respects at the funeral and gathering.

Family flowers only but donations if desired to either Cancer Research or St Michaels Hospice c/o Mummery, 29 Ninfield Road, Bexhill On Sea, TN39 5AE. 01424 218704.
